师:Hello, everyone. Welcome to today's English class. Today we're going to learn Grade 7, book A, unit 6, “My clothes, my style”. First, turn to page 70 and look at the picture. Can you guess what they're doing in the picture? Right, they're talking with each other. But what may they be talking about? Yes, maybe they're talking about what colors to wear. But how do you know that? Maybe we can get some clues from the picture of clothes. Now, read the title and the instructions on page 70 and answer the following questions. What type of text is it? Who is Katie talking with? And what are they talking about?

  生:(思考、阅读、回答问题)

师:Now it's time to check the answers. The text is an interview script. Kitty is talking with Miss Lee, a fashion designer. And they are talking about choosing the right color to wear. Before reading the interview script, think about two questions. Question 1, if we put two or more colors together, that means color matching. So do you think color matching is important? Why or why not?

生:(发表观点)Some of us think color matching is important because it makes us look great. Some others think it is not important because we can wear any color we like.

师:Question 2, if you were Kitty, what questions about colors would you have for a fashion designer?

生:(思考并回答)Maybe we can ask a fashion designer questions like what colors match each other or what color should I wear?

师:But what questions does Kitty ask Miss Lee? Please read quickly and find out all the questions.

  生:(快速阅读并找出问题)

师:Now, check if you've found them all. They are: May I ask you some questions about colors in fashion? How can we choose the right colors to wear? Could you give us some advice? Which colors go well together? Can we mix warm and cool colors? What colors match all? And according to these questions, can you tell me how many parts there are in the interview script and what they're mainly about?

生:(思考并回答)There are two parts in the text. Part 1 is from lines 1 to 8. This part is about how to choose colors. Part two is from lines 9 to 21. This part is about how to match colors.

师:While having the interview, Kitty is making some notes to learn more about the details. Let's help Kitty complete her notes. Then tell me the answers with complete sentences.

生:(完成笔记并回答)How to choose colors? It depends on the color of your skin. To match the colors, we should pick similar colors or mix warm and cool colors. We should also know that black, white, and gray match any color.

师:Next, read the interview script again. Write a T if a sentence is true or an F if it is false, then correct the false ones.

  生:(阅读并判断对错,改正错误)

师:Now check your answers. No. 1, Miss Lee knows a lot about colors in fashion. This is true for she gives a lot of advice on what colors to wear. No.2, both orange and green are warm colors. This is false because green is not a warm color. Red, orange, and yellow are warm colors. No. 3, dark blue trousers do not go well with a blue T - shirt. This is false. In fact, dark blue trousers go well with a blue T - shirt. No. 4, people should wear more than three colors. This is false because people should not wear more than three colors. No. 5, green and yellow go together well. This is true. No. 6, Gray is a good color for both casual and formal clothes. This is also true. So during the interview, Miss Lee tells us how to choose and match colors. But how does she tell us these ways? Please read the tip on page 71. It says, we may better understand a text with the help of words like “such as”, “for example”, or “in fact”. So please read the interview script again and answer two questions. Why does Miss Lee use “such as” and “for example”? And why does she use “in fact”?
